At horseOlogy, we pride ourselves on providing individualized service for every equine athlete on our farm. With open communication and decades of experience across all sectors of the Thoroughbred industry, Jena Antonucci, Katie Miranda, and the horseOlogy Team deliver top-quality care and unmatched partner relations—offering full-cycle services from pinhooking and development to training, rehabilitation, and retirement.
Developing and Training
At horseOlogy, every great Thoroughbred story begins with thoughtful, detail-oriented horsemanship. Our development and training program is hands-on at every stage, focusing on understanding, trust, and clear communication between horse and handler.
We believe in joining up with each horse—helping them learn their new job through acceptance, not fear. These foundational principles build confidence, athleticism, and a lifelong partnership between horse and rider.

Starts in the stall
Our process starts in the stall, where we take quiet time to observe and understand each horse’s unique personality. From there, we move to the round pen, introducing cues, manners, and responsiveness in a calm, trusting environment.

Build on the Trust
When ready, a rider is introduced, allowing the horse to build on the trust already established. Each session focuses on balance, rhythm, and moving forward with confidence. Once these skills are secure, we transition to a large grass field where horses can practice and strengthen what they’ve learned in a natural setting.

Move to the Racetrack
As horses advance, they move to the racetrack to continue their progression—learning to gallop, navigate the starting gate, and build stamina and focus. To round out our comprehensive training approach, swimming is added to the schedule, providing low-impact conditioning and improved respiratory health.
Equine Rehabilitation & Layup
Just like any professional athlete, Thoroughbreds need time to rest, recover, and recharge. Whether it’s a well-earned seasonal break or a period of rehabilitation after an injury, horseOlogy provides a calm, structured environment to help each horse heal—physically and mentally—before returning to full training.

Every horse’s situation is unique.
Some simply need a freshening before heading north for the summer season, while others require focused therapy and time to rebuild strength. At horseOlogy, we customize every plan to suit the horse’s needs, temperament, and stage of recovery.

Horses thrive on structure.
So even during downtime, we maintain a consistent routine to keep them happy and engaged. Depending on each horse’s program, this can include swimming, controlled turnout, and hand-walking—each chosen to promote physical wellness and mental relaxation.

Sound, Confident, and Ready
We collaborate closely with veterinarians, farriers, chiropractors, and nutritionists to create a balanced and individualized rehabilitation plan. This attention to detail ensures that when a horse returns to its trainer, it’s in the best possible form—sound, confident, and ready to perform.
Integrated Equine Therapies
Our on-farm setting allows us to provide top-quality care and therapies at a fraction of traditional rehabilitation-center costs. Because our team already knows each horse’s personality and routine, the transition back into training is smooth and stress-free for both horse and owner.
horseOlogy’s Equine Rehabilitation and Layup Program combines compassion, science, and consistency—offering every horse the care and patience they deserve during their time off. We incorporate a range of supportive therapies, including swimming, acupuncture, and MagnaWave, to enhance circulation, reduce inflammation, and promote natural, low-impact movement. These advanced modalities accelerate healing, strengthen muscle, and support overall wellbeing—helping every athlete recover with confidence and return to peak performance.
Sales Preparation
Every horse deserves to shine in the sales ring. Whether it’s a weanling, yearling, two-year-old in training, or broodmare, horseOlogy focuses on the small details that set each horse apart—inside and out. Our goal is to ensure your horse not only looks its best but also arrives confident, fit, and ready to impress.

Weanlings
Preparing a weanling for its first sale starts with patience and gentle guidance. We gradually introduce each weanling to handling, grooming, and the rhythm of daily care. This early foundation builds confidence and trust while encouraging healthy growth and a relaxed mindset before entering the sales environment.

Yearlings
About 90 days before a sale, yearlings transition from the pasture to the barn. Here, we can focus on their individual conditioning, nutrition, and presentation. Their program includes daily grooming, hand-walking, swimming, and time on the eurociser or in the round pen to promote muscle development and composure. By sale time, our yearlings walk into the ring with shine, balance, and presence.

Two-Year-Olds in Training
Years of hands-on experience allow us to bring out each horse’s natural ability while maintaining composure and confidence. Our process combines progressive conditioning with thoughtful schooling—building strength, balance, and responsiveness. Each horse follows a customized plan that includes individualized exercise, proper nutrition, and consistent track work. When ready, we introduce breeze work to develop rhythm, speed, and stamina in a controlled, positive environment. The result is a confident, well-prepared athlete who understands the job, enjoys the work, and is ready to impress at under-tack shows and beyond.
horseOlogy works closely with respected consignors at major sales venues to ensure a smooth, professional transition from farm to auction.

Boutique Broodmare and Foaling Services
By Appointment Only
At horseOlogy, we believe every mare and foal deserve the highest level of care, attention, and safety. To ensure that, we offer a truly boutique foaling experience—limiting the number of mares we accept so each receives focused, hands-on support before, during, and after foaling.

24-Hour Supervision
Our experienced staff and trusted veterinary team provide 24-hour supervision, including on-site night watch and full camera coverage pre- and post-foaling. Emergencies are rare, but our location within GoldMark Farm allows for immediate access to advanced veterinary care if needed.

Relaxed Herd Environment
Each mare is given her own smaller paddock before and after foaling for a calm, secure transition. When ready, mares and foals move to larger paddocks and a relaxed herd environment to encourage natural socialization and development.

Dedicated Foaling Stalls
Our dedicated foaling stalls are oversized and fully equipped for reproductive work, disinfected before every arrival, and maintained to the highest cleanliness standards.
Whether you need short-term foaling care or long-term mare and foal management, horseOlogy provides the expertise, facilities, and personal attention that make all the difference.
