A Year of Growth, Gratitude, and Great Horses: Reflecting on 2025 at horseOlogy

As the year winds down and the farm settles into its quiet winter rhythm, we can’t help but reflect on everything this past year has brought to our team, our horses, and our incredible ownership community. Every season at horseOlogy has its own energy, but 2025 felt especially meaningful—a year of progress, partnership, and plenty of moments that reminded us why we do what we do.

Celebrating the Horses Who Made This Year Unforgettable

From yearlings taking their first steps toward becoming athletes to familiar faces returning for continued development, each horse we welcomed this year added something special to the farm. We saw growth in every form – confidence building, bodies strengthening, minds maturing, and spirits settling into themselves.

What never changes is our commitment to treating each horse as an individual: horse first. Their personalities, their quirks, their challenges, and their potential all shape the way we work with them. And watching them thrive? That’s the reward.

Expanding Our Programs and Services

2025 was also a year of growth for horseOlogy as a company. We continued to refine our training, pinhooking, layup, and ownership opportunities – always asking the same guiding question:

How can we make Thoroughbred ownership more transparent, more fun, and more relevant?

This year we:

  • Welcomed new owners
  • Strengthened education for first-time owners
  • Rebuilt our website to make it even more user-friendly
  • Enhanced communication tools to keep owners closely connected to their horses
  • Continued developing our horseOlogy Encore efforts to ensure every horse finds their next meaningful chapter

Each step forward brought us closer to our mission of creating an ownership experience that is inclusive, engaging, and deeply rewarding.

Moments That Made Us Proud

Every horse has its own storyline, and every owner has their own reasons for joining the journey. But some moments stood out this year—moments of growth, success, and pure joy.

One highlight was our very own Whatintheliteral’s journey to Churchill on Kentucky Oaks Day to have a strong run in the Eight Belles Stakes (G2), a moment that showcased heart, maturity, and the impact of patient development. Celebrations like this remind us how meaningful the journey can be when the right horse meets the right program.

Looking Ahead to 2026

If 2025 taught us anything, it’s that the future of horseOlogy is bright.

We’re excited to:

  • Welcome new owners into the industry
  • Continue developing our horses with intention and care
  • Keep expanding our team and services

Our focus remains the same: creating an exceptional experience for every horse and every owner who joins us.
